About Linnea Reddie — Registered Psychologist, Surrey Hills, Melbourne

my story

A career built on genuine connection

Linnea Reddie, registered psychologist at Vine Psychology, Surrey Hills Melbourne

I became a psychologist because I believe that understanding yourself is one of the most meaningful things a person can do and that having the right support makes that process possible.

My journey into psychology began in 2003 as a telephone crisis counsellor, and I've been a registered psychologist since 2007. Since then, I've worked across private practice, public mental health, and corporate settings, each of which has shaped how I approach the people I work with today.

I now run Vine Psychology from a warm, quiet room in Surrey Hills, Melbourne, where I see individuals, couples, and teenagers on Thursdays and Fridays. I also offer online sessions for clients who prefer the flexibility of Telehealth available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

My Approach

I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. What works for one person may not work for another and part of my job is figuring out what's going to be most useful for you, specifically.

My work is grounded in evidence-based therapies that have a strong research foundation. I draw on whichever combination best fits what you're working through.

Above all, I believe the relationship between therapist and client matters enormously. I aim to create a space that feels safe, warm, and non-judgmental where you can speak honestly and feel genuinely heard.

Therapeutic Modalities

I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches depending on what you're working through:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Mindfulness-based approaches Gottman Method (couples) Trauma-focused therapy Solution-focused therapy Interpersonal therapy Compassion-focused therapy Person-centred therapy
